It was a tough weekend overall for the Redeemer basketball program who grabbed just 1 win out of 4 weekend matches. The Men's Basketball team went 0-2 with a loss to Lambton and St. Clair while the Women's team lost to St. Clair but salvaged a win against Lambton College. 

The weekend began with promise after the Lady Royals notched their 4th win of the season on Friday night against the Lions. Redeemer defeated Lambton 98-80. On Saturday, the women couldn't keep things going against a very strong St. Clair Saints team. The Saints handed the Royals an 81-55 loss, Redeemer's first loss at home this season. 

The Men's team matched up against a tough Lambton team on Friday night and were outplayed 96-82. Saturday's game proved to be a much tighter affair but unfortunately the same result. Redeemer fell 89-88. 

Next up for Redeemer is a big test against neighbourhood rivals Mohawk. Redeemer hosts the Mountaineers on Saturday at 1pm and 3pm.
