Box Score Despite a 2-game losing streak to end 2015, the Redeemer Royals Men's Volleyball team will likely walk away from the first half of the season on a high. A 6-3 record in arguably the toughest division in Canada, a National Ranking, a top 5 ranking in Ontario, and a very competitive young team with a very bright future is a lot to celebrate.
On Thursday night the Royals were in Welland in a match-up of two 6-2 teams as Redeemer faced the Niagara Knights. The reigning Provincial Champions flexed their muscles, defeating the Royals 3-0. Redeemer came out flying and had an opportunity to take the 1st set but Niagara rallied for a 26-24 win. From their, Redeemer slowly appeared to run out of steam, as a competitive first half of the season came to an end.
Set scores were 26-24, 25-21, 25-16
Redeemer will now take some deserved time off over the exam period and Christmas break.
The Royals travel to St. Clair on January 9th in their first game back. Redeemer defeated the Saints 3-0 in their first meeting this season in Ancaster.
