After a dominating win on Friday night against the Boreal Vipers, inconsistent play on Saturday hurt the Royals in a loss against the Cambrian Golden Shield. After sweeping Boreal 3-0 on Friday night, the Royals went the distance against Cambrian in a 5-set loss.

The Royals record says at .500 and goes to 3-3. Redeemer currently sits in 6th place in the OCAA West.

Rebekah Oosterhof's 7 blocks powered the Royals to a win on Friday night with set scores of 25-21, 25-13, and 25-20.

On Saturday, breakout games from Redeemer's Jenna Noordstra (7 kills, 3 aces, 1 block) and newcomer Rebekah Nash (9 kills, 4 aces) helped the Royals keep pace with the visitors. Game scores were 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 16-25, 15-10. Redeemer held a 6-1 lead in the 5th set but struggled to close.

Next up, Redeemer will travel the short distance to Mohawk College on Friday night in a matchup against the 4-2 Mountaineers.
