Box Score After dropping their first two matches of the season, the Redeemer Royals Men's Volleyball team have caught fire and are rolling through their competition. Their 5th win in a row came Friday night against the undefeated and CCAA #3 Nationally ranked Mohawk Mountaineers in a straight set sweep.
The Mountaineers entered the match with a 6-0 record but hit a road block at home against the visiting Royals. In front of a loud contingent of Redeemer fans who made the short trip to Mohawk, the Royals asserted their presence early and never lost control.
Mohawk had dropped just 3 sets all year so far before Friday night while the Royals have now dropped just 2 sets in their 5 game win streak.
Set scores were 25-20, 25-16, 25-23 as Redeemer has now not lost since October 25th.
Mitchell Harris had a match high 11 kills, 1 ace, and 4 blocks.
Morgan Rutledge added 9 kills and
Linden Bontkes had 6.
Nathan Delguidice led Mohawk with 10 kills.
The Men's team will have their next big test on December 2nd when they travel to the 2nd ranked OCAA team, the Fanshawe Falcons.
