Redeemer will get their first taste of volleyball action this weekend as the 2018-2019 season get's underway in Ancaster. The Women's and Men's Volleyball teams host the St. Clair Saints starting at 2pm at the Redeemer Athletic Centre.
The Lady Royals went 2-0 at the Georgian College Invitational two weeks ago, defeating Georgian College and George Brown College to wrap up their pre-season. Redeemer's Men's team finished up the Seneca College Invitational tournament this past weekend with a 2-2 record to conclude their pre-season. The Royals defeated Canadore and Seneca and dropped matches to Fanshawe and Niagara.
Last season Redeemer's women's team dropped both matches to St. Clair while the men's team swept the Saints. St. Clair's Women's team finished in 3rd place in the OCAA West while their men's team finished 5th. A pair of wins on Saturday would go a long way for both programs to kick-start the season.
