After a tough schedule to start the season, Redeemer found their rhythm Wednesday night against the Bruins. Led by 3rd year
Abby Sluys, Redeemer maintained control throughout the entire match dispatching the Bruins 25-20, 25-22, 25-22.
Sluys ended the night with an incredible 24 points in just three sets. She had 20 kills, 1 ace, and 3 blocks. Abby posted an astounding 8.00 points per set in the match and had just 5 hitting errors on 43 attempts.
The win for Redeemer, their first of the season, was a relief for a team that has played well to start the season but has not seen the results. Opening the season against the top ranked Falcons, Mountaineers, and Saints, Redeemer was finally rewarded Wednesday night against a good Bruins team.
Redeemer will now have an extended break, not playing again until November 15th against Cambrian College.
