The Redeemer Royals Basketball teams flexed their muscles this past weekend, defeating the Sault Cougars from Sault Ste. Marie in all four matches. Redeemer opened the season series with the Cougars Friday night at home before finishing up the back-to-back Saturday afternoon.
The Women's Basketball team grabbed their first and second wins of the season against the winless Cougars, winning 95-42 on Friday night and 90-56 on Saturday afternoon.

Jessica Angelini caught fire Friday night, scoring 32 points in the victory. Jess was 9-17 from the 3 point line. She added 8 assists and 3 steals.
Tobie Brinkman had her 5th double-double of the season with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
On Saturday, Angelini and Brinkman once again led the Royals offensively. Angelini finished with 24 points while Brinkman added another double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Th weekend wins extended Redeemer's win streak against Sault to 9 games.
The Men's team followed in the Women's footsteps, defeating Sault 109-65 on Friday night and 99-79 on Saturday afternoon.
Redeemer used their entire bench Friday night as 11 players recorded points. The Royals finished the game with 5 players with double-digit points, including a game-high of 21 points from Spemcer Kerssies in 17 minutes. Kerssies also added 15 rebounds.
Saturday was much the same as Redeemer almost cracked the 100 point mark. The Royal relied on balance scoring in the win with 12 players scoring. Elijah Lostracco had a team-high 17 points.
Simon Wal had a monster game for the Cougars, recording a game-high 30 points.
Redeemer now has a quick turnaround as they will welcome the Fanshawe Falcons to Ancaster on Wednesday night. The Women's game begins at 6pm with the Men's game following.
