ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals men's basketball team fell to the No. 12 nationally ranked St. Clair Saints 85-57 Saturday night at the Redeemer Athletic Centre.
The Royals played a strong opening quarter trailing 27-22 after 10 minutes.
After bringing it to within two points, 27-25, to open the second quarter, St. Clair put together a 13-0 run to go up 40-25 with five minutes left in the half. The Saints outscored Redeemer 13-8 in the final five minutes to take a 20-point lead at the half 53-33.
St. Clair went up 63-38 early in the third quarter on route to their sixth win of the season. St. Clair improves to 6-2 while the Royals fall to 2-7 in the OCAA West Division.

Parker Davis (Hamilton, ON) who finished with 14 points and six rebounds. Fourth year

Josh Carbonel (Saskatoon, SK) and second year
Alex Naovarath (Woodstock, ON) all contributed with seven points each.
Saints had three players in double-figures, led by Shakael Price and Jesiah Deerr who both added 15 points each and Chad Vincent-Simon who registered 14 points in the win.
As a team, The Royals went 20-for-61 (32.8%) from the field, 7-for-20 (35.0%) from three-point land and 10-for-14 (71.4%)Â from the charity stripe. St. Clair shot 41.0% (34-for-83) from the field, 33.3% (10-for-30) from long range and 53.8% (7-for-13) from the free throw line.
The Royals return to action on January 7th when they take on the St. Lawrence College Surge at the Redeemer Athletic Complex.
