ROYALS PICK UP 3RD WIN, FINDLAY BREAKS RECORD

The Royals women's basketball team stopped a two-game losing skid on Friday with a victory against the Fanshawe Falcons 71-62. With the win, the Royals brought their record back to 3-3 and a tie for 3rd in the West.

Coming off of back-to-back defeats, the win is good timing for the Lady Royals heading into the final week of the regular season. Redeemer will travel to face the 4-0 St.Clair Saints and 2-2 Lambton Lions next weekend in their final two games of the 2022 regular season.

The Royals came out strong in the first quarter to an end-of-quarter score of 21 - 14, but the Falcons did not give up. The Falcons kept things close, stealing the lead several times, throughout the second and third quarters. The Royals took control again in the fourth quarter securing the victory.

Redeemer's Stephanie Findlay had a record-breaking night for the Royals. Findlay finished the game with a double-double from 40 total points and 13 rebounds. Findlay's effort broke Redeemer's 'Points in a Single Game' record previously held by Jesseca Brown at 38 total points.

The Royals will look to finish their season strong next weekend on the road against the Lambton Lions and St. Clair Saints.
