For the first time since 2011, the Royals Men's Volleyball team is headed to the OCAA Final. Redeemer secured their spot on Wednesday night with a 4 set victory over the Canadore Panthers.
Facing off against the host team, the Royals were playing in front of a loud North Bay crowd. The Men fell in the first set 21-25, but in true Redeemer Men's Volleyball fashion, it didn't seem to phase them. The Royals took control early in the second set and didn't let up until they secured the victory in the fourth set. Set scores were 21-25, 25-18, 25-11, 25-18.
Royals Player of the Game was
Jason Wildeboer (Bowmanville, ON) who added 30 assists, 5 blocks and 2 aces in the match.
Panthers Player of the Game was Jackson Brear (North Bay, Ont.) who had 11 kills, 3 digs, 1 ace in the match.
The Royals will now face the Humber Hawks in the Gold Medal match March 17th, 2022 at 7:30pm.
