Ancaster, ON – The Redeemer University women's volleyball team (7-6 OCAA West) defeated the Boreal Vipers by the score of 3-0 (25-22, 29-27, 25-21) Saturday afternoon at the Redeemer Athletic Centre.
The Royals were led by second year
Hannah Berg (Ile des Chenes, MB) who recorded a match high 11 kills, five digs and three aces. Third year
Erica Bultje (Chatham, ON) contributed with eight kills and six digs while first
Joelle Lammers (Lynden, ON) added seven kills and five aces. Second year
Julia Koksanowicz (Hamilton, ON) chipped in with 24 assists, five digs and two aces. First year libero
Kaila Bouwers (Lynden, ON) registered a career high 12 digs in the victory.
Boreal was led by Isabelle Wallace who recorded four kills in the loss.
For the match, the Royals had a .233 hitting efficiency adding 35 kills with 15 errors on 86 attempts. Boreal collected with 8 kills and 11 errors on 48 attempts for a -.063 hitting percentage.
The Royals next action is January 27 & 28 when they are on the road against the St. Clair Saints and Fanshawe Falcons.
