Ancaster, ON - The Redeemer University women's soccer team defeated the Conestoga Condors by the score of 2-0 Tuesday night at David Mantel Field. With the victory, the Royals improve to 3-1-3 in the OCAA West.
Redeemer opened the scoring in the 35th minute, as
Ivana Kanisek set up
Emily Walraven who buried a shot top corner from 25 yards out to make it 1-0.
In extra time, it was another highlight reel goal from Walraven for her team leading fifth goal of the regular season. Kanisek added her second assist of the game.
Redeemer outshot Conestoga 16-5. In goal, Royals starter
Lilly Brown collected two saves for the blank sheet. Conestoga starter Madelaine Sloan added four saves in the loss.
The Royals return to action on Saturday, October 7th when they travel down the QEW to take on the Niagara College Knights.
