KITCHENER, ON - The Redeemer University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to the Conestoga Condors on the road Saturday afternoon. With the loss the Royals fall to 8-9 in the OCAA West Division and are in sixth place.
The Royals were led by first year
Kate DeJong (St. Thomas, ON) who recorded seven kills and had a .429 hitting percentage. Second year
Rachel Annett (Melbourne, ON) added six kills and nine digs while fifth year
Victoria Pancucci (Stoney Creek, ON) added six kills with a season high .600 hitting percentage. Setter
Brooklyn Van Rooyen (Acheson, AB) collected 18 assists and two blocks in the loss.
Leading Conestoga were Olivia Bender and Bianca Marchetti who registered eight kills each.
For the match, the Royals hit .221, registering 26 kills and 11 errors on just 68 attempts. Conestoga had a .306 hitting percentage adding 27 kills and 8 errors on 62 attempts.
The Royals close out the OCAA regular season on the road February 8th when they take on the Humber Hawks.
