Royals Davis named to OCAA West All-Rookie Team

Parker Davis (Hamilton, ON) was named to the OCAA West All-Rookie Team Thursday night at the 2022-23 OCAA Awards banquet hosted by St. Clair College.
The first year local standout had an outstanding season with the Royals.
"I was very excited when we signed Parker, and he did not disappoint," said Royals head coachÂ
Jamie Girolametto. "He had an outstanding season, not just for a freshman but for a player in general. Parker is going to be a force for the Royals over the next four years."
In his rookie campaign, Davis finished second in team scoring averaging 14.8 points per game. He reached double digits in 14 of 18 regular season contests, including a game high 26 points in the Royals 101-86 home win over Fanshawe where he went 10-for-18 from the field (55.6%).
In the OCAA playoff game versus No. 3 nationally ranked George Brown, Davis put together the sixth best offensive performance in school history, registering a career high 33 points going 12-for-17 (70.6%) from the field and 8-10 (80.0%) from the free throw line.
He also averaged 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
