Late tally leads Redeemer Men's Soccer over Cambrian 1-0

ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer University Royals Men's Soccer team kicked off their season with a 1-0 victory in their opener against the Cambrian Golden Shield.
The lone goal of the game was scored in the 90th minute by second year
Derek Proulx, who found the back of the net from second year Stephen Barnhoorn, whose perfectly timed pass set up the winning moment.
The Royals' defense was solid throughout the match, ensuring a clean sheet for first year goalkeeper
Matthew Derks. In his university debut, Derks showcased his skills and talent, recording four impressive saves to secure his first career shutout.
The match statistics demonstrated the Royals' dominance on the field. The team unleashed a total of 17 shots, compared to Cambrian's 8. Shots on goal were evenly matched at 4-4, showcasing the strong defensive efforts from both teams.

The Royals next action is Saturday, August 26th at 5pm when they host St. Lawrence College.
