Royals men's soccer blanks Fleming 7-0

PETERBOROUGH, ON - The Redeemer Royals men's soccer team defeated the Fleming College Phoenix by the score of 7-0 on the road Wednesday night.
Third year
Hunter Packalen (Milton, ON) opened the scoring eight minutes into the contest as he buried it into the back of the goal for his first goal of the season.
Third year
Gerrit Oldejans (Dundas, ON) added his first goal of the campaign in the 12th minute to make it 2-0. Second year
Derek Proulx (Burlington, ON) added the assist. The Royals led 2-0 after 45 minutes.
In the second half it was all Royals as they controlled the majority of the play answering with five more goals.
In his Royals debut, Mykel Whittingham made it 3-0 in the 55th minute as he buried a free kick into the top corner. Whittingham would add his second goal of the contest in the 60th minute as he buried home a pass from third year
Mycah Winsor (Newfoundland).
In the 70th minute, Packalen setup first year
Kieran Wilson (Scarborough, ON) for his first goal of his Royals career. Wilson would return the favour in the 78th minute, as he found Packalen who buried a shot past the Fleming goalkeeper for his second goal of the night and fifth point.
Second year
Eli Mudde (Ottawa, ON) would close out the Royals scoring in the 88th minute with the assist going to Oldejans.
In goal, first year
Matthew Derks (Burlington, ON) registered his second clean sheet of the season finishing with two saves.
The Royals next action is Saturday, September 2nd when they play host to Durham College.
