ANCASTER, ON. The Redeemer Royals faced a tough defeat against the Conestoga Condors on Wednesday night, losing 78-56 on the road. Despite a spirited effort, the Royals struggled to find their rhythm against a well-coordinated Condors team.
From the outset, Conestoga established control of the game. Strong defensive plays and efficient shooting allowed them to build an early lead. After the first quarter the Royals were only down by two. The Royals fought back in the second quarter, with standout performances from
Ty Storie, who led the team with 13 rebounds on the night. However, the Condors answered every challenge, maintaining their advantage heading into halftime.
In the second half, Redeemer attempted to mount a comeback, but the Condors defense proved too formidable. Conestoga capitalized on fast breaks and outside shooting, extending their lead in the fourth quarter.
The Royals fall to 1-2 on the year but look to capture their first win on the road this Saturday at Fanshawe College.
