ANCASTER, ON. OCAA West Women's Volleyball action returned to the Redeemer Athletic Centre Friday Night. The Redeemer Royals (3-4) hosted the Sheridan Bruins (1-7) for their second match-up of the season. Last time out, the Royals made quick work of the Bruins, winning in straight sets. The Royals looked to climb back to .500 with a second win against Sheridan.
Redeemer had an excellent start to the match. The Royals captured control from the opening serve and did not look back. The Sheridan Bruins could not find an answer for the Royals offence. Led by middle
Alyson Stolte, the Royals cruised to a straight-set win (25-17, 25-18, 25-15).
The Royals displayed the depth of their line-up as they had fourteen different players make an appearance on the court, ten of these Royals scored points. Stolte was unstoppable through the middle recording 5 kills, and zero errors on 11 attempts.
Julia Koksanowicz recorded a game-high 25 assists.
Rileigh Reynoldson led the Royals from the service line with three aces.
Saturday afternoon the Royals face the undefeated St. Clair Saints (8-0) at 1:00 PM. Redeemer looks to defend home court against a top divisional opponent.
