ANCASTER, ON. Sheridan Bruins Men's Volleyball entered the Den Thursday evening for a critical OCAA West Division match. The were in a "Win and You're In" situation for OCAA playoffs, while the Bruins needed to pick-up a road victory on the Royals to keep their hopes alive.
Sheridan came and did exactly what they needed to do. The Bruins toppled the Royals in four-sets and will look to push the Royals out of a playoff spot if they can secure another victory.
Redeemer's efforts were led by
Caleb Joosse who posted an outstanding 19 points out of the middle. Joosse posted the second most blocks in a single match in program history with 9. The veteran middle has been building a strong case for league all-star votes as night after night he makes his mark on the competition. The Royals size at the net was on full display tonight as they posted 2 blocks.
Third year setter
Andrew Van Dyke recorded 34 assists in the four set loss. First year
Simon Bourne also had an impact performance off the bench with 6 kills and 5 aces.
Redeemer looks to bounce back Saturday, February 3rd when they host the Conestoga Condors.
