BRAMPTON, ON - The Redeemer Royals were searching for a much-needed win on Wednesday night as they squared off with the Sheridan Bruins, but the Bruins quickly showed why they've been one of the more consistent teams in the OCAA this season. Entering the game at 3-2, Sheridan wasted no time imposing their pace, jumping out to an early lead in the first four minutes and never looking back as they handed Redeemer a 125–80 loss.
Sheridan was in rhythm from start to finish, shooting an impressive 51% from the field and capitalizing on Redeemer turnovers throughout the night. The Royals struggled to find continuity offensively, and the Bruins' pressure forced 25 Redeemer turnovers, mistakes Sheridan routinely turned into points in transition.
For the Royals, now 1–6, the focus must shift quickly. Their next game carries significant weight despite the season still being young. Redeemer will face the Canadore Panthers, a team sitting directly behind them in the standings. With both teams eyeing playoff positioning, Saturday's matchup already feels like a statement game.
