Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Royals Cruise to 26-Point Win

ANCASTER, ON - Redeemer welcomed the only winless team in the OCAA West on Saturday, as Canadore, who does not field a women's program, sent only its men's team for the evening matchup. The Panthers entered averaging just 64.8 points per game, the lowest mark in the OCAA, while Redeemer held the statistical edge in five of the six primary team categories. The lone area where Canadore surpassed the Royals was on the glass, making rebounding a focal point for Redeemer as they looked to neutralize any momentum the visitors hoped to generate.

Redeemer started strong, capturing a lead in the first four minutes and never looking back. Canadore kept the game close through the opening quarter, but the Royals held a 29–22 advantage after one. Redeemer extended that lead by halftime with strong transition play, heading into the break up 54–40.

The Royals continued to roll in the third, putting together one of their best quarters of the season and outscoring the Panthers 28–16. Redeemer maintained full control the rest of the way and closed out a convincing 100–74 victory.

OCAA points-per-game leader Parker Davis delivered another excellent performance, finishing with 25 points. Ben Dyck also turned in an impressive outing, contributing 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks in one of his strongest games of the year.

Redeemer now turns its attention to another important matchup next weekend, when they welcome the Fanshawe Falcons (2–5) to Ancaster.
