ANCASTER, ON – The Redeemer Royals Women's Volleyball team is excited to announce the signing of Phoebe Sinke, a talented setter from London Christian High School. Sinke, who hails from Tillsonburg, ON, has demonstrated exceptional talent at the high school level and with the Forest City Volleyball Club. Her 18U team is currently ranked 8th in the province as they prepare for Provincials next month in Waterloo, ON.
This past high school season, Phoebe was honoured as Ms. Volleyball for Thames Valley Regional Athletics. She received this accolade at the high school all-star game, a recognition that speaks to her outstanding athletic ability and character.
The Royals are thrilled to welcome Phoebe to their program. Her dynamic play making abilities and strong work ethic will be a valuable addition to the team. In addition to her athletic prowess, Sinke is deeply confident in her faith and is excited to continue growing spiritually at Redeemer. Phoebe shared her aspirations for her time at Redeemer, saying, "I want to love like Jesus and be someone that others can look up to and talk to. I hope to grow in a way that all I see is God, and always put Him first, being humble in my own accomplishments because I know that they are really His."
Phoebe is no stranger to the Redeemer community. "I've attended many of the Royals' games and was always so in awe of the smiles that never left the athletes' faces. It is obvious that God is working in them and using them as examples of His light," she said.
The Royals are excited to welcome Phoebe to the RU Royal family. Recruiting athletes like Phoebe, who embody Redeemer's mission and vision while excelling in their sport, will help further elevate the excellence of Redeemer Athletics.
