ANCASTER, ON - Redeemer Women's Volleyball locks in their second recruit of the off-season. Claire Heide signs with the program from Steinbach, Manitoba. The Providence Pilot transfer brings valuable CCAA experience to the Royals roster.
Alongside her impactful play as a middle blocker, she brings a heartfelt commitment to deepening her faith at Redeemer. Heide shared "I'm excited to join the Royals because I've heard great things about the team's atmosphere and commitment to faith. I'm looking forward to improving my skills on the court and being part of a supportive community. It'll be awesome to grow both as an athlete and in my faith." The incoming transfer continued, sharing "As I continue to grow in my relationship with God, I try to live my life to honour and glorify Him and bring joy and encouragement to my teammates and others around me. I'm excited to see what the Lord has in store for me at Redeemer."Â
On the court, Heide recently won the MCAC Provincial Championship with the Providence Pilots. Their Provincial Championship earned them a bid to the CCAA National Championships hosted by Durham College. In high school, Heide played for the Providence Jr. Pilots and was named a Volleyball Manitoba High School graduating All-Star.Â
Recruiting athletes like Heide reflects the Royals distinct approach: striving for athletic excellence while prioritizing spiritual and academic development.
Catch Heide and the Royals in action this fall at the Redeemer Athletic Centre. The Royals open their season on the road on October 18th at Mohawk.Â
