ANCASTER, ON - Redeemer Men's Soccer adds their fourth signing of the 2025 off-season. The Royals land Washington state native Alexander Salo. The American Centre Back will bolster the experience back line of the Royals this fall. 

Salo is a highly talented recruit who plays for Tahoma High School. Salo and his High School team are currently ranked 6th in the United States of America, holding a 14-0-1 record (United Soccer Coaches, May 4, 2025). In addition to his high school success, Salo has also competed for Eastside FC and Bellevue Athletic. 

The incoming recruit shared "I will use my faith to give glory to God through my engaging in sport and my athletic life. As well as learning how to trust in God through all ups and downs." 

Salo also added he is excited to be "Living, learning and playing sports in a Christ-centred community" that Redeemer provides.

The Redeemer Royals are excited to welcome Alexander to the RU Royal Family. Not only is Alexander an exceptional athlete, but he is also an academic and spiritual fit for Redeemer. Royals athletics looks forward to supporting Alexander as he becomes a varsity student-athlete.
