ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals women's soccer team earned a gritty 1-0 victory over the Conestoga Condors on Wednesday at David Mantel Field.
Redeemer controlled the majority of possession throughout the match, but the Condors pushed back with strong chances of their own in a tightly contested game. The Royals capitalized in the first half thanks to
Kendra Sieders. The fourth-year Royals found the back of the net in the eighteenth minute, assisted by
Tautiana Pellegrino.Â
The Royals controlled the pace of play; however, Conestoga continued to develop their own opportunities.
Jasmine DeBoer kept the Royals in the lead, posting a game-high 10 saves.
In the end, a single goal was enough to seal the win for the Royals in front of their home crowd. It was a well-earned result in a competitive matchup from both sides.
