KITCHENER, ON - The Redeemer Royals men's basketball team travelled to Conestoga to take on the Condors and came up short in a 90–78 loss.
Redeemer went shot-for-shot with Conestoga in the opening quarter, ending the frame deadlocked at 18–18. The Condors were able to create a bit of separation in the second quarter, taking a four-point advantage into halftime.
The third quarter proved to be the decisive stretch, as the Royals struggled to find their rhythm and were outscored by 10. Despite the setback, Redeemer responded with a strong effort in the fourth quarter, winning the final frame, but the early deficit was too much to overcome as the Condors closed out the win.
Individually,
Armeen Fazelipour made his presence known in his return to the lineup, leading all scorers with an impressive 30-point performance.
Thomaz Barbosa contributed across the stat sheet, pulling down a team-high nine rebounds while dishing out five assists.
The Royals will look to take the positives from the performance as they regroup and prepare for their next contest.
