Royals Remain Flawless in 2026 with 3-0 Win

ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals women's volleyball team showed no signs of slowing down on their unbeaten 2026 campaign, delivering a dominant straight-set victory over Boreal to improve to 9–3 on the season.

Redeemer set the tone immediately, opening the match with relentless pressure that Boreal struggled to handle. The Royals controlled every phase of the game in the opening set, cruising to a commanding 25–7 win. The pressure at the net and from the service line kept Boreal out of system throughout the frame, as Redeemer recorded a flawless 10 kills with zero errors in the opening set.

Boreal responded with renewed composure in sets two and three, pushing the Royals into tighter battles. Despite the resistance, Redeemer remained poised and efficient, edging out a 26–24 win in the second set before closing the match with a 25–21 victory in the third to complete the sweep.

Offensively, Redeemer was sharp all night, hitting an impressive .526 as a team. Avry Sabo led the Royals with 12 points while hitting .389, adding eight digs in a well-rounded performance. Rookie setter Phoebe Sinke directed the offence with confidence, dishing out 30 assists in the three-set win. Leah Lammers anchored the back row with a game-high 13 digs and was equally effective offensively, recording 10 kills on a .421 hitting percentage.

The Royals will look to carry this momentum forward as they continue their unbeaten stretch Saturday afternoon. The Royals welcome the Cambrian Shield for a showtime matchup Saturday night. The winner of the Shield vs. the Royals will likely lock in home court for the first round of playoffs.
