WELLAND, ON - The Redeemer Royals men's volleyball team picked up a crucial road win on Wednesday night, defeating the Niagara Knights 3–1 (25–20, 25–23, 19–25, 25–14) in Welland. The victory pushes Redeemer to 7-7 on the season, moving them ahead of Niagara in the OCAA West standings and strengthening their position in the race for a cross-division playoff matchup in the coming weeks.

Redeemer opened the match with strong serving and clean attacking, taking the first set 25–20. The Royals carried that momentum into the second, battling back from an early deficit to earn a gritty 25–23 comeback win and a commanding 2–0 lead.

Niagara responded in the third set, capitalizing on a late push to hand Redeemer a 25–19 loss and extend the match. But the Royals showed their composure and championship mindset in the fourth, delivering a dominant performance from start to finish. Redeemer controlled the pace, dictated the attack, and closed out the match emphatically with a 25–14 statement set.

With the win, Redeemer improves to 7–7, leapfrogging the Knights in the standings and building key momentum as the postseason approaches.

The Royals now turn their attention to their next matchup on Saturday, January 31 at 5:00 p.m., when they host the St. Clair Saints at the Redeemer Athletic Centre as the Royals celebrate Senior Night.
