ANCASTER, ON – The OCAA No. 9–ranked Redeemer Royals continued their outstanding season on Wednesday night, earning a decisive 3–1 road victory over the Niagara Knights (25–21, 18–25, 25–19, 25–17). With the win, the Royals improve to 10–4 and complete the season sweep over Niagara, strengthening their position in the ultra-competitive OCAA West Division as the playoffs approach.

Redeemer opened the match with poise, taking the first set 25–21 behind a balanced attack and exceptional team defense. After dropping the second set 25–18, the Royals responded immediately, showing maturity and big-game experience as they reclaimed momentum with a 25–19 third-set victory, then closed the night with a dominant 25–17 performance in the fourth to secure the match.

The win highlighted a complete team effort from the Royals, who executed perfectly from start to finish. Coach Kate Grasman and her staff once again had their group prepared and composed for a tough road contest - a sign of a team peaking at the right moment.

With just two weeks remaining before postseason play, the Royals are in excellent form and firmly positioned to contend for a top-three finish in the OCAA West. Sitting at 10–4, Redeemer continues to trend upward as one of the most balanced and consistent squads in the conference.

The challenge now intensifies as Redeemer prepares for one of its toughest tests of the season: a showdown with the OCAA No. 2–ranked St. Clair Saints. The Royals return home to the Redeemer Athletic Centre on Saturday, January 31 at 3:00 p.m., hosting the Saints in a marquee matchup carrying major playoff implications. Catch the Royals as they aim to defend home court and continue their push toward the OCAA postseason.
