Daniel Weiandt

Daniel Weiandt joined the Redeemer men's soccer coaching staff in the summer of 2022. And is now entering the fourth year of being on the coaching staff.

Daniel’s main role is to watch over game footage to analyse both the Redeemer team and the opposition in order to present the players with the clearest picture. Prior to being a coach with Redeemer, Daniel was also a varsity athlete for the Royals. He was on the men's soccer team in his first year at Redeemer. His understanding of the game allowed him to be a very versatile player, playing across the field in a number of positions. His career as a student athlete was cut short at the end of the season when he tore the ligaments in his knee, leading him to pursue
coaching instead.

Outside of the OCAA, Daniel also coaches the local Hamilton Sparta U17 boys rep team. He has been with this team since 2019, with a focus on player development and forming a true understanding of the game in his players. In the spring of 2025, the team claimed the gold medal at the Welland Wizards Rose Tournament U18 division.

Daniel currently holds a national C-license and is in the process of obtaining the CONCACAF B license.
