  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Williams joined the Royals Women’s Volleyball program in September 2025 as an assistant
coach, returning to collegiate coaching after previously coaching Division III at Agnes Scott
College in Atlanta, GA. She also played professionally in the Philippines and was a member of
the Jamaican Women’s Volleyball Team.

Kayla Williams is a multifaceted professional whose career spans athletics, broadcasting, and
storytelling. A former NCAA Division I volleyball standout and three-time All-SWAC recipient
from Grambling State University (2006–2010), Williams captained her team and earned
recognition for her leadership and performance on the court. Her love for the game took her
around the world—playing professionally in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) for the Foton
Tornadoes, where she helped secure the franchise’s first-ever championship title in 2015, and
representing Jamaica as a member of the Jamaican Women’s National Volleyball Team in
2017.

Following her collegiate playing career, Williams began coaching at the collegiate level as a
Graduate Assistant at Agnes Scott College (Div. III) in Atlanta, Georgia, leading the team to its
first GSAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2013. In 2025, she returned
to collegiate coaching, joining the Royals Women’s Volleyball Program as an Assistant Coach.
Beyond the court, Williams built a dynamic career in broadcasting, spending eight years with
CP24, Toronto’s Breaking News and Canada’s No. 1 news channel. During her tenure, she
covered major stories including the 2019 Toronto Raptors Championship Parade, the Toronto
International Film Festival (TIFF), and countless breaking news moments across the Greater
Toronto Area.

Now a full-time entrepreneur, host, and content creator, Williams uses her platform to
empower women and share stories rooted in faith, resilience, and authenticity. She continues
to host live events ranging from corporate galas to charity fundraisers while raising her
daughter, Kennedy-Ann, and pursuing her passion for connecting communities through sport,
storytelling, and purpose-driven content.
