LONDON, ON - The Redeemer University women's soccer team capped off the 2023 OCAA regular season with a 3-0 victory over Fanshawe College on the road Saturday afternoon.
With the victory, the Royals finish with the best record in the program's history, finishing with a 5-1-4 record for 19 points.
After a scoreless first half, The Royals opened the scoring 51:22 into the second half as
Alia Breukelman put it past Fanshawe goalkeeper Tiakotierenhton Diabo for the 1-0 lead. At the 75 minute mark,
Ivana Kanisek setup
Alyssa Simpson for second goal in as many games. Redeemer closed out the scoring in the 78th minute as Breukelman registered her second goal of the game.
 In goal, Redeemer starter
Lilly Brown recorded four saves for her fifth win and fourth shutout of the season. Fanshawe's Diabo collected 11 saves in the loss.
The Royals open the OCAAÂ post-season at home on October 18th at 7pm when they host the fifth seeded Conestoga Condors.Â
