FLORIDA - In their first ever school appearance The No. 4 seeded Redeemer University women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to the No. 5 seeded Bethel University Pilots at the 2023 NCCAA DI Women's Soccer National Championships in Florida Tuesday.
The Royals had a couple key scoring opportunity in the opening half but were not able to capitalize.
After a scoreless first half, Bethel would score the eventual game winner in the 63rd minutes on a goal from Onalee Gustafson. Aubrey Vervynckt added the assist.

Liberty Dendekker recorded two saves in the loss. Bethel's Jael Schubert turned aside all four shots she faced for the shutout.
Bethel outshot the Royals 12-6 (4-3 SOG) in total.
With the victory, Bethel advances to Fridays NCCAA National Championship Game.
The Royals will take on the No. 1 seed Mid-American Christian University Wednesday at 1pm in their second game of pool play.
