ANCASTER, ON The Sheridan Bruins were visiting the Royals Thursday evening for a OCAA West division match-up. The Bruins were in hunt of a crucial victory that would help to clinch a playoff while the Royals looked to build momentum for a playoff run. Redeemer's playoff seeding has been clinched and secured at 6th place in the OCAA West.
Sheridan displayed their hunger to clinch a playoff birth as they snatched the first set from the home supported Royals. Redeemer and Sheridan traded set victories the entire night which led to a Sheridan 5 set win. Redeemer out-scored the Bruins 68-56, however, in volleyball its not always how many points you score, but when you score your points.
Redeemer took the opportunity to celebrate two graduating seniors,
Carlene Cecchelli and Brooklyn Vanrooyen. The two seniors of the Royals Women's Volleyball program have been critical members of the team for the past four years. Each of the individuals has presented the program with lasting postitve impacts and the Royals will miss them greatly as they say goodbye to their Volleyball career.
Redeemer looks to bounce back on Saturday February 3rd as they host the Conestoga Condors.
