ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals men's basketball team went on the road Friday night to face the Lambton Lions, falling 91–59 after a competitive start.
The opening quarter was evenly matched, with both teams trading baskets to a 21–21 tie. The Lions began to pull ahead in the second, taking a 40–32 lead into halftime. Royals guard
Parker Davis was electric early, scoring 17 points in the first half and keeping Redeemer within striking distance.
After three quarters, Lambton led 58–51, but the momentum shifted in the final frame. The Royals struggled to maintain possession, committing 11 turnovers in the fourth quarter that allowed the Lions to pull away and secure the win.
Davis finished with a game-high 26 points, adding 7 rebounds and 3 assists in another strong all-around performance.
The Royals will look to regroup as they continue their OCAA season next week.
