Royals Conclude Strong Showing at Disc Golf National Championships

ROCKHILL, SC. - Following four days of competition among North America's largest schools, the Royals say goodbye to the 2025 College Disc Golf National Championships. The Royals left their mark on the competition with a historic performance from Kalan Schat in the Singles championship. Schat's third place is one of if not the highest finish from a Canadian in the competition's history.

The men's A team had a second slow team round on the final day of the competition. The four Royals struggled to find opportunities to score throughout the round and fell down the leaderboard. The Royals finished the 2025 Championships in 18th place. The top Royals team improved their standing from last year's championship by over twenty spots.

Redeemer's women's team had a solid finishing round on day four of the championship following their stellar performances on days two and three. The women's team concluded the competition in 12th place.

The Royals fielded a second men's team for the first time at this year's championship. The Royals B team had a solid showing on the day but could not climb the rankings as they had hoped. They finish off the division two championships in 57th.

Redeemer Royals Disc Golf has gotten off to an incredible start for the program. As one of two Canadian schools at the Championships, the Royals led not only in their play but their Christ-like character throughout the competition. The other Canadian school is none other than Trinity Western University. The Royals and Spartans built program connections and were able to see the connection of faith and sport together.

Poised to have many returning players, the Royals will be in a prime position to contend at next year's National Championships.
