ANCASTER, ON - The 2025 Redeemer Royals Hall of Fame nomination ballot is officially open. The Redeemer Royals Hall of Fame is reserved for athletes, coaches, and builders who have made an outstanding contribution to Redeemer University Athletics during their career.
The most recent inductees include Wayne Harris, Head Coach of Men's Volleyball and Owen Kurvits, Men's Badminton Athlete.
Athlete Inductee: A Redeemer University graduate, OCAA league all-star and/or member of a provincial/national medal team, named a Redeemer MVP in their sport(s), demonstrated excellence in their dedication, and commitment to their sport(s) through their attitude and high level of play. Other considerations include: team captain, recipient of the Athlete of the Year award, recipient of the Scholar-Athlete award, all-star game representative, Redeemer Athletes of the Week, OCAA league record holder, OCAA Athlete of the Week, CCAA Athlete of the Month, CCAA All-Canadian, OCAA Athlete/Player of the Year, CCAA Athlete/Player of the Year.
Coach Inductee: Made a significant impact on the athletes and program they coached, going above and beyond the requirements of the position. Considerations can include: OCAA Coach of the Year, CCAA Coach of the Year, Provincial and/or National recognition, win-loss record, member of a provincial or national medal team, number of years coaching.
Builder Inductee: Substantially impacted the development and profile of the Redeemer University College Department of Athletics and the varsity athletic program through their vision, dedication, and hard work.
*Each inductee is chosen at the discretion of the Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
ROYALS ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME TIMELINE (subject to change) May 15th - 30th: Nomination period opens.
July 1st: Nomination period closes.
July 1st - July 30th: Nominees Interviews.
August 1st - 15th: The Chair will notify each inductee by phone or email. August 15th - Sept 1st: Royal's Hall of Fame spotlight released. End September - Early October: Redeemer Alumni & Family Week Hall of Fame Ceremony (Date TBA)
