ANCASTER, ON – The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) has officially released the 2025–2026 basketball schedules. The Redeemer Royals will open their season at home in a marquee doubleheader against the Mohawk Mountaineers on Thursday, October 17. The Women's game will tip off at 6:00 PM, followed by the Men's game at 8:00 PM inside the Redeemer Athletic Centre.

Women's Basketball:

The Royals Women's Basketball team enters the new season looking to build on last year's foundation. While the program graduated some strong talent, key returners—led by Talia Vreugdenhil—will anchor the lineup, supported by a promising group of first-year athletes.

Thursday, October 17 – vs Mohawk Mountaineers

Mohawk enters the season as the defending OCAA Champions, making the home opener an early test for the Royals. With a heated cross-town rivalry and the first official game of the OCAA basketball season, this one is a must-watch game.

Men's Basketball:

The Royals Men's Basketball team also tips off the season on October 17 against Mohawk. The Royals will have the opportunity to knock off a top OCAA program and local rival in the first match of the new campaign.
