Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Lazenby Career High Leads Royals Past Bruins

ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals women's basketball team put together a complete performance on their home court, earning a key 75–64 victory over the visiting Sheridan Bruins. The Royals set the tone early and never trailed, controlling the game from start to finish with efficient shooting and a dominant presence on the glass.

Redeemer was outstanding offensively, knocking down shots from the perimeter all night. As a team, the Royals shot 43.5 percent from three-point range, stretching the Bruins' defense and creating scoring opportunities throughout the lineup. That offensive efficiency was paired with a commanding effort on the boards, as Redeemer out-rebounded Sheridan by a decisive 61–31 margin, consistently winning second-chance opportunities and limiting the Bruins to one shot.

Sydney Lazenby led the way for the Royals with another career night, recording her second consecutive career-high performance. Lazenby finished with 22 points and added a career-high 12 rebounds to secure the double-double. She was also just three assists shy of a triple-double, dishing out seven helpers in an all-around effort. Talia Vreugdenhil and Sophia VanRaalte also played key roles, each posting double-doubles of their own. Vreugdenhil contributed 12 points and 14 rebounds, while VanRaalte added 14 points and 11 rebounds as Redeemer's balanced attack proved too much for Sheridan to overcome.

With the 75–64 win, the Royals continue to build momentum as they push forward in the OCAA schedule.
