ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals women's volleyball program is excited to announce the commitment of Aurora Brydson (Cobourg, ON), who will join the Royals as a left side for the upcoming season.
Brydson most recently competed with 18U Titans Kairos, serving as team captain during the 2025–26 season. Throughout her club and high school career, she has consistently demonstrated strong leadership and a high level of athletic excellence.
A standout multi-sport athlete at St. Mary's Catholic Secondary School, Brydson earned several major honours. She was named Junior Female Athlete of the Year (2023), Senior Female Track and Field Athlete of the Year, and Senior Female Athlete of the Year (2024). Her accomplishments were also recognized in the community when she was named the 2024 Female Athlete of the Year by the Cobourg & District Sports Hall of Fame. Brydson also served as team captain at the 2025 OFSAA AA Championship, highlighting her leadership and experience competing at a high level.
Brydson is excited to join the Royals and continue growing both athletically and spiritually.
"What excites me most about being part of the Royal Family is being able to learn and play volleyball in a Christ-centred environment," Brydson said. "I am eager to grow in my faith and be used by God on the volleyball court and in the classroom."
She believes her faith will guide how she approaches her time as a student-athlete at Redeemer.
"My faith is the foundation of who I am as both a student and an athlete. It reminds me that my identity is not defined by athletic performance or grades, but by my character and my relationship with Christ. At Redeemer, I will compete and learn with integrity, serve my teammates and classmates, and contribute to a team and academic culture built on the love of Jesus Christ."
The Royals look forward to welcoming Brydson to the program and are excited for the impact she will make both on the court and within the Redeemer community.
