ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals are pleased to welcome Zach Swackhammer to the Men's Soccer program.

A Dundas, Ontario native, Swackhammer joins the Royals as a centre midfielder/defender after attending Hamilton District Christian High School (HDCH). He has spent his club career with Flamborough Dundas Soccer Club.

Swackhammer enters Redeemer following a successful high school career, having been named his school's Athlete of the Year. 

As he begins his time at Redeemer, Swackhammer is looking forward to joining the RU Royal Family and competing at a higher level.

"I'm excited about the community and the higher level of play" Swackhammer said.

As a student-athlete at Redeemer, Swackhammer also sees his faith as an important part of his experience. He plans to approach his time with the Royals with the understanding that his efforts are ultimately about something bigger than himself.

"Knowing always that everything we do we are doing it not for ourselves but for glorifying the Lord," Swackhammer said.

Swackhammer now looks forward to beginning his journey with the Royals and contributing to the Men's Soccer program both on and off the field.

Catch Swackhammer and the Royals in action this fall. Their home opener is set for September 17th when they host the Humber Hawks.
