Box Score It was a pretty good couple of days for Redeemer Student-Athlete's this past weekend. The Royals Basketball and Volleyball teams were a combined perfect 5-0 in all competition as Redeemer swept through their opponents. The weekend included a little bit of everything from dominant victories, to a game winning shot, to a 5 set thriller on the road.
The Lady Royals Women's Basketball team kept their perfect record in place as they rolled through the Cambrian Golden Shield at home on Friday and Saturday. In their first home games of the season, the Royals pushed their record to 3-0 and sit at the top of the OCAA West Division table.
On Friday night in front of a huge home crowd, Redeemer knocked off the Golden Shield 82-43. In round two on Saturday, Redeemer came out on top 77-53.
Redeemer outscored Cambrian 159-96 over the two games and have now put up the most points out of any school in the OCAA that have played 3 games so far.
The Royals duo of Jesseca Brown and Lindsay Moffatt accounted for 66 of the teams total points on the weekend. However, 3 other players scored double-digit points for Redeemer and all 13 players on the roster scored at least one basket in the two games.
The Royals will travel to St. Clair College on Saturday in a very tough test against one of the league's top teams. Game time is at 2:00pm
The Men's Basketball team finished their non-conference play on Saturday when they travel to the U.S.A to play Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Redeemer picked up their first ever win in the U.S with a tight victory, 86-85.

Rayvon Higdon led the Royals with 32 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Newcomer
Anthony Terry added 14 points.
The Royals overcame a 20 point deficit to stun the home team as Higdon hit a game winning buzzer beater to propel Redeemer to it's first win south of the border.
The Men's Basketball team will also make the trip to St. Clair on Saturday to face off against the 3-0 Saints at 4:00pm.
