Rounding out the men's team was Samuel Tempelman (Kakabeka Falls, ON) (31st), Nathan Reid-Welford (Keswick, ON) (34th) and Murray Greydanus (Gowanstown, ON) (36th). Despite leading the group until about 2 km, Jakob Kramer (Pickering, ON) had to pull out due to injury.

The Cross-Country team will take the next two weeks to prepare for OCAA Championships on Saturday, October 30, hosted by Humber College.

This weekend the Redeemer Basketball teams also started off their exhibition schedules in Windsor, ON against the St. Clair Saints.

Women's Head Coach Jesse VanHouwelingen states, "we came out strong and ready to play, we got out to a 14-4 lead and the score at half was 39-30 in our favour. The Saints caught fire in the second half and it was a good test for our young team. St. Clair will contend for a provincial medal again this year so it was a good indication of how good we can be, but also how much work we still have to do. We clawed our way back in the fourth quarter and it was 71-65 for the saints, but we ran out of steam and it finished 80-67. We had a strong showing from Stephanie Findlay (Oakville, ON) who dominated in the paint and knocked down some 3's for 25 points. We also had 4 players with double figures Griffin Lack-Shane (Waterloo, ON) had 10, Karyn TeBrake (Ottawa, ON) scored 11 and Jessica Angelini (Hamilton, ON) added four 3's for 12 points." The Women will continue their exhibition campaign on Friday, October 22 against St. Lawrence.

Men's Coach, Jamie Girolametto stated "we improved in each quarter on both ends of the court, and our defense looks like it can create a lot of havoc. To be down 12 points at two different times in the game can be tough to overcome.  But the guys kept working and executing and eventually took a late lead." Two late inbound plays were missed leading to a 75 – 78 loss. "I am very excited to see what we can accomplish as a team.  We had great performances by 1st year guards Alex Naovarath (Woodstock, ON) and Jackson Thackwray (Richmond, BC). We also had 4 players reach double digits (Foster Brown (Stoney Creek, ON) 19,Blake Anderson (Hamilton, ON) 12, Isaiah Brinkley (Rochester, NY)11, Goran Veselinovic (Hamilton, ON) 10)." The Men' will continue this Wednesday, taking on the McMaster Maruaders, as well as, Friday, October 22 against St. Lawrence.
