ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals men's volleyball program has announced its first signing of the 2026 recruiting class, welcoming Judah Fitch to the RU Royal Family.
Fitch joins the program from Pain Court, Ontario, where he attended Chatham Christian High School. Fitch becomes the first signing of the Royals Director of Volleyball,
Ed Bosveld.Â
Fitch began playing volleyball in Grade 10, competing as a right side for the junior boys team, which went on to win regional championships. His development continued in Grade 11 after transitioning to the libero position. That season, his team went undefeated in local competition and earned a fifth-place finish at Single A OFSAA, a year Fitch described as one of significant growth and enjoyment. In his Grade 12 season, while the team did not qualify for OFSAA, Fitch continued to build on his experience at the libero position as part of a strong team environment.
"What most excites me about playing Redeemer Royals volleyball is being a part of a Christian community that is also competitive and values athletics," Fitch shared. "Though I have been part of many different sports teams, I have yet to see one with such a potent blend of competitiveness and Christian morals. This is why I look forward to playing volleyball as a Redeemer Royal."
Faith will also play a central role in Fitch's time at Redeemer, both on and off the court.
"As a student-athlete, I will use my faith not only to grow closer to my teammates but also to minister to other teams," he said. "I am looking forward to playing with a Christian mindset and being able to rely on my teammates in-game and out of play. I am also looking forward to the opportunity to be a light to others who share my value of sports, but are not religious."
Fitch officially joins the Royals as the first signing of the 2026 recruiting class, marking an exciting step forward for Redeemer men's volleyball.
