Leah Sloots Named Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

ANCASTER, ON - Redeemer Royals Athletics is excited to welcome Leah Sloots as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Sloots is no stranger to the Royals Athletics environment. A graduate of Redeemer's Kinesiology program, and Women's Soccer alumni, she previously served as an assistant within the Royals' strength and conditioning program and is also a graduate of Redeemer's Strength Internship Program.

Her familiarity with the program, combined with her experience as a former university student-athlete, has given Sloots a strong understanding of the Royals athletes, environment, and commitment to developing student-athletes.

Sloots is a certified Strength & Conditioning Coach having earned her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. Sloots also brings a wealth of practical coaching experience to the role. Most recently, she worked as a High Performance Coach at House of Greatness in St. Catharines, where she led strength and conditioning sessions, designed workouts, and worked alongside coaches and athletes to improve performance.

Her experience also includes working with athletes and teams connected with the Brock Junior Badgers, Niagara Rapids, and Grimsby Vipers. She has continued to develop professionally through her work at ALP Training Institute in Hamilton.

Sloots also previously represented the Royals as a student-athlete, earning the Vertical Purpose Award for her Kingdom impact, leadership, servanthood, and pursuit of excellence.

Those same qualities will now carry over into her work with Royals Athletics as she helps student-athletes develop both on and off the field of competition.

While the 2026–27 season will mark Sloots' first year leading the Royals' strength and conditioning program, she has had the opportunity to learn under experienced strength and conditioning coaches throughout the area. Combined with her education, CSCS certification, practical coaching experience, and background as a university student-athlete, Sloots enters the position well prepared to lead the program.

With her experience as a Royal, education in kinesiology, professional certifications, and growing coaching background, Sloots brings a familiar face and a strong foundation to the Royals' strength and conditioning program.

Royals Athletics is excited to welcome Leah Sloots back to the RU Royal Family and looks forward to the impact she will have on student-athlete development throughout the 2026–27 season.
