Hockey Adds Colton Stanley

ANCASTER, ON - Redeemer Royals Hockey is excited to welcome Colton Stanley to the RU Royal Family for the upcoming season.

Stanley, a centre/left wing from London, Ontario, joins Redeemer after spending 10 years in the London Jr. Knights hockey organization, where he was part of an OHF Championship team. He also has experience playing Jr. C and Jr. B hockey.

At the high school level, Stanley was the captain of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School varsity hockey team, the STA Flames. He helped the team become London High School Varsity Hockey City Champions.

Stanley's athletic career extends beyond hockey. He competes in shot put, discus and hammer throw with the London Western Track & Field Club, earning numerous top-10 finishes in Ontario. He also played AA baseball for 10 years.

Head Coach Isaiah Thornback is excited about what Stanley will bring to the Royals.

"We are very excited to welcome Colton into our Royals family. As a multi-sport athlete, he understands the pressures and opportunities of competing on the big stage. His work ethic is at the forefront of his game, and his power-forward style brings both a physical edge and a scoring touch to our forward depth. Colton has shown enthusiasm to be a part of a culture where he can grow in his faith alongside a like-minded community. We are honoured to be a part of his growth as a young man, a disciple of Jesus, a student, and a hockey player."

Stanley is excited for the opportunity to continue his hockey career at the Division II level while attending Redeemer alongside a close friend.

"I am excited to continue my hockey career at the Division II level and attend the school with a close friend."

Faith will also play an important role in Stanley's time at Redeemer.

"I plan to let my faith drive my decisions and my play on the ice. I look forward to building lifelong friendships built on a shared faith."

Welcome to the RU Royal Family, Colton!
