As a result of the ongoing College support staff strike, all scheduled varsity game for this week have been postponed. The Royals men's and women's soccer teams were ready to travel to Conestoga College Wednesday and Thursday to open up the 2011-2012 seasons but will now need to wait. Depending on the length of the strike, the games will be rescheduled for later on in the season.

Saturday's soccer home openers and facility kick-off event will likely also be postponed. The College's have till Thursday at noon to come to an agreement or all weekend games will be canceled. Saturday's planned facility kick-off event will still take place later on in the season when the Royals open up their season at home once the strike is over.

The Redeemer University College Student Life Department has organized a trip to Niagara Falls for this Saturday in lieu of the soccer home openers being postponed. The details are as follows:

Saturday September 17th
Bus leaves at 5pm from Athletic Centre.
Bus will be back on campus at about 11pm. 
$5 deposit required to sign up (students will receive the $5 back when they get to Niagara Falls).
