Friday's Women's Game Recap
Friday's Men's Game Recap
Saturday's results were very similar to Friday's. The Women's Basketball team had little trouble with Sault College wheras the Men's team edged out a victory in a very close affair.
Lindsay Moffatt once again led the Royals offensively as Redeemer won by their largest margin in the history of the program 86-44. Moffatt had a game-high 31 points. Moffatt sits in 1st place (4th overall) in the OCAA West division with 21.6 points per game in her rookie season.
3 other Royals had double digits points. Aycha Hamoui had 13, Samantha Donald had 12, and Esther Weima added 11.
In the Men's game, Redeemer held onto their lead throughout most of the match but the Sault Cougars never went away. When the dust settled the Royals walked away with a close 77-65 win.
Benn Ibrahim continued his dominant start to the season with a game-high 24 points and 20 rebounds. Like Moffatt, Ibrahim currently sits in 1st place (2nd overall) in the OCAA West division with 24.5 points per game.
Calvin Turnbull added 13 points for the Royals.
Both women's and men's teams look to improve on their 3-2 records after a much deserved week off on November 16th when the Fanshawe Falcons visit the Redeemer Athletic Centre.
