ANCASTER, ON - The Redeemer Royals are excited to welcome Lucas Macklem to the men's basketball program.

Macklem, a 6-foot-1 point guard from Caledon, Ontario, attended Robert F. Hall and played for West United Prep and Robert F. Hall. He has been playing basketball for approximately a decade and is coming off a season in which he helped win an NPH championship.

Away from the court, Macklem is also looking forward to growing in his faith during his time at Redeemer. He hopes to become closer with God and find the path God has planned for him both as a student-athlete and beyond basketball.

"I want to become closer with God and help me find my path that he has for me to compete on the court and to go on through life," said Macklem.

Macklem now joins the Royals for the upcoming season as he begins the next chapter of his basketball career at Redeemer.
