It was an uncharacteristic night on Tuesday at the Royals Soccer Complex in Ancaster as the Redeemer soccer programs were on the losing end of two blowout defeats. Usually a tough place to play for visiting opponents, the Niagara Knights showed no fear playing in front of the contingent of Royals fans. The Royals will have little time to linger on Tuesday's game results as they will look to claim back their home field advantage on Friday when the host the St. Clair Saints at 5pm and 7pm.
The Lady Royals remain winless after Tuesday nights match with an 0-4 record while the Knights moved to 2-3 after the 6-0 win. The Redeemer men fell to 1-3-1 with the 5-1 loss, while the Knights improved to 4-1.
Ryley Cribbin was the lone goal scorer for the Royals, netting his 2nd goal in the past 3 matches.
Leading the way for the Knights was Carlos Williams who found the scoresheet twice for Niagara.
In the women's game, Alexis Hebert had the shutout for the Knights.
After two sweeps in a row for the soccer programs, against Fanshawe and Niagara, the Royals will look to get back into the win column on Friday. The St. Clair Saints women's team comes in with a 3-1 record, while the men sit at 3-1 as well.
